DESCRIPTION:HI All\, \nWhat are you doing on Tuesday\, December 3rd? That day is Giving Tuesday—a global day of giving where people all over the world come together to support their favorite nonprofits. \nThis year\, Shady Oaks Camp for People with Disabilities is once again participating in Giving Tuesday! Our goal is to raise $20\,000. We know it’s a lofty one\, but we have faith in our awesome supporters! We know that through the kindness and generosity of people like you\, we can reach or even exceed our goal. Will you help? \nSOC is a private\, not for profit\, summer camp for people with disabilities that receives no state or federal funding. Almost all of our $600\,000 operating budget is raised by our campers and their families through donations and fundraisers. Our families work extremely hard throughout the year to ensure the campers will have a great summer. Unlike many camps\, SOC provides a 1:1 staff to camper ratio which guarantees our campers will receive the quality\, personal care they deserve. \nHere’s how you can get involved: \nAdd Giving Tuesday to your calendar! \n-Donate to Shady Oaks Camp via facebook\, venmo (https://www.venmo.com/u/ShadyOaksCamp)\, zelle (464-243-6242)\, or through our website (https://shadyoakscamp.org/donate/).
