Flood damage, we need your help!

On February 3rd, we had some major damage to 2 of our buildings at camp. Because of the extreme cold pipes burst in our pool house as well as Dorm 4, our largest staff house. We do have insurance coverage but our deductible is $5,000. This is an unexpected expense that is going to hurt us this year. If you could help with any amount that would be great! At Shady Oaks Camp, we create outstanding camp experiences that enrich the lives of our campers. Shady Oaks Camp accomplishes this by providing outdoor fun and recreational opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.

To provide people of all ages and backgrounds, with a disability, the same recreational opportunities that their peers without disabilities enjoy in a summer camp setting. We believe camp provides an opportunity for personal growth, increased self-esteem and social skills building. We strive to create a space for our campers that promotes safety, independence, supportive care and attention based on the individuals needs and goals.
